EDEN ACADEMY OF WORSHIP WILL PRESENT THE FOLLOWING BIBLICALLY BASED COURSES/WORKSHOPS during 2009!
PART-TIME PRACTICAL COURSES IN WORSHIP THEORY & MOVEMENT
Courses are offered at the following venues:

Mondays Mondeor, Johannesburg - 19h00 - 21h00
Wednesdays Valhalla, Pretoria - 14h45 - 16h45 & 19h00 - 21h00
Thursdays Randburg, Johannesburg - 19h00 - 21h00
New students may join at any time.
Fees: Adults: R160 registration. R 160 per month.
Students: R120 registration. R120 per month. Special family rate.
Men, women, young people and especially families, are welcome.

DISTANCE-LEARNING THEORETICAL COURSE ON THE HISTORY AND ESSENCE OF WORSHIP

The curriculum includes the Biblical Feasts, History of Worship Structures & Practices & Biblical Symbols & Types and are aimed at maturing and enriching the believer’s relationship with God. The student is required to write assignments and examinations at specified periods. A diploma will be awarded to students who have completed all the modules successfully. Next course starts in February 2009.
R 400 registration (valid 24 months). R 600 per module (including postage).

PRACTICAL DISTANCE-LEARNING COURSE IN WORSHIP THEORY & MOVEMENT (VIDEO OR DVD)

Registered students may join Eden Academy of Worship and will receive practical and theoretical teachings on an ongoing basis.
R 400 registration (valid 24 months). R 200 per module.

SATELLITE SCHOOL TRAINING

We travel to present 4-monthly, theoretical & practical workshops on Saturdays all over the country and Namibia to members of our Satellite Schools. Training is structured and progressive and members receive a DVD of the workshop. Existing groups are encouraged to join. Please book now. Minimum fee: R 2500 per group workshop.

CONSULTANCY SERVICE

A consultation course in Worship and Worship Movement for churches entitled “Raising the Tabernacle of David,” has been developed to assist churches in the participation of all members by bringing their bodies in movement and worship before God during church services. Fee available on request.

Liz, who has been making processional banners for the past 18 years, is available on a consultation basis at to assist individuals with one-on-one technical advice about the banners which they are producing. Fee: R250 per hour.

Izak Coetzee

For many years, Izak Coetzee trained and worked as a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher. Since his rebirth, he spends all his time and energy on the research, development and teaching of true Biblical Worship and Worship Movement. For many years, Coetzee was a regular member of the dance-ministry team at the Christian celebrations of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. He is respected, locally as well as abroad, for his pioneering work in the field of Worship Movement.

Eden Ministries & Eden Academy of Worship

In 1992, he established Eden Ministries - a Christian, interdenominational ministry which expresses worship in the form of movement, dancing and processions, using banners, flags and tambourines. When Izak and his family moved from Durban to Johannesburg in 1999, he established the Eden Academy of Worship at the beginning of 2000 and started presenting part-time classes in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Hartbeespoort.

Full-time School & affiliation to SATS

A full-time school was established at the beginning of 2001 which presented a comprehensive, two-year course in Worship Theory & Movement. All courses presented by Eden Academy of Worship include Biblically-based theory as well as practice. In June 2003, this full time course was discontinued. Selected theoretical modules presented by Eden Academy of Worship have, however, been approved by the South African Theological Seminary (SATS) as accredited subjects which can be incorporated into courses presented by SATS. All distance-learning programmes of SATS are accredited by the Council on Higher Education, the Education and Training Quality Assuror of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and they are registered with the Department of Education as a private higher education institution.

Satellite Schools

As from 2004, one of the activities of Eden Ministries has been to establish and visit Satellite Schools throughout South Africa & Namibia. In this way worship leaders are assisted in the programming and contents of their ministries. It is further ensured that they remain correctly informed about the Ministry of Worship Movement and that their work remains of a Biblically high standard. By attending regular workshops presented by Eden Ministries, they receive fresh information and new input in their repertoire and ways of expression.

Distance learning courses

To accommodate individuals, who cannot personally attend our courses, we have developed unique theoretical as well as practical distance learning courses.

Our Word from the Lord for contemplation and study during 2009 comes from Song of Solomon 7:10 - "I am my Beloved's and His desire is toward me."
