Assault and attempted robbery
It has been reported that while on his way to the Shell Garage to buy a few goods, a gentleman was approached by three unknown men. The men tried to rob him of cash and personal belongings. When the victim refused to hand his belongings over, the suspects assaulted him after which he fled to the Shell Garage for help.
The staff at the garage came to his aid and pressed the CSS Tactical panic alarm. Two Tactical units were dispatched. When the reaction units arrived at the garage, the victim was able to identify the three suspects and two of them were arrested while the third one ran away. The SAPS was contacted and the suspects taken to the Randburg Police Station.
Suspect leaves without paying for petrol
A client who filled up his blue Honda Ballade with petrol and left without paying was caught red handed. The suspicious petrol attendant pressed the CSS Tactical panic button as the client sped off. Tactical Units were dispatched and the car was spotted on the corner Jan Smuts and Conradie Avenue where CSS Tactical blocked the attempted escape. The SAPS was contacted and the suspect handed over.
