The BIG Ferndale River Springclean!!!
Spring has arrived in all her glory and it is time to go outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and the budding leaves and flowers on the trees.
It is well and good to enjoy your own garden, but what about nature's garden - the environment that is beyond our little patch?
In Randburg, residents are gearing up to make a difference to our environment by doing a big FERNDALE RIVER CLEANUP! Come and join the fun as we get our hands dirty. It is also a great way to meet your neighbours and to spend some time outdoors.
The cleanup campaign was initiated by the New Acropolis Wellness centre located at the corner of Vale and Oxford Rds. Through their enthusiasm and efforts, they have mobilised most of the Resident's Associations in Randburg and there is now great excitement about the event!
Pikitup is supporting the event with gloves and bin bags.
There will also be a braai following the cleanup and and a few local supermarkets have agreed to sponsor meat and rolls.
In fact - the whole community has decided to come out and support this rewarding initiative.
