Blairgowrie Community Association - BCA

A small group of concerned citizens invited Blairgowrie residents for a meeting to the recreation centre on the January 28, 2010.

At this meeting an overwhelming majority of residents attending, voted to form the Blairgowrie Community Association.

The attendees also approved the group of concerned citizens to act as an interim board for the next 6 months.

During this period, membership is free to all Blairgowrie residents and the board will carry all expenses.

The meeting and the BCA

Further to the above info, +- 200 people attended the meeting. The BCA is almost 3 weeks old and can already boast with a membership of just under 300 members. 97% of members receive regular updates via emails on issues that affect them. The other 3%, who do not access to email, receive updates in the form of mail drops at their homes. Each home that does not have email access has a volunteer assigned to it and they assist the BCA by printing out and delivering the important info.
