Motorcyclist dies in head-on smash

A motorcyclist was killed and two others were seriously injured in a head-on collision on the R512 near the Lanseria Airport this afternoon at 3.50pm. It is believed that the motorcycle and a truck collided head-on, after impact the truck veered off the road and then rolled down an embankment.

“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and found that the bike rider had tragically died on impact while the two patients from the truck were seriously injured. After they were stabilised medics transported them to a nearby hospital for the care that they required”, said Chris Botha.
