Randburg licensing department closed
People hoping to renew their licence discs or obtain drivers licences were turned away from licensing departments on Thursday due to a "staff meeting", Johannesburg metro police said.
Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said licensing and testing stations across Johannesburg locked their doors at 10am.
"Services are currently being affected as staff is attending an urgent meeting to discuss labour related issues with their unions," he said.
The testing stations would only be re-opened on Friday morning
"We thought they would be done by 12pm but the meeting is carrying on and we've had to tell people to go back home," Minnaar said.
