Canadian comic Kenny Robinson at Parker’s

Parker’s Comedy & Jive, Africa’s only dedicated stand-up comedy club, based at Montecasino in northern Johannesburg, hosts a stellar lineup of local and international stand-up comedians, three nights a week in April see Kenny Robinson (April 1-3, 8-10 and 15-17).

For over 25 years, Kenny Robinson has been touring across North America winning both audiences and critical acclaim with his raucous, irreverent, profane and opinionated brand of "in your face" style of comedy and social commentary.

Kenny has shared the stage with fellow stars including Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Jim Carrey, Norm McDonald, Russell Peters, Robert Schimmel, Phyllis Diller, and the late, great, Sam Kinison.

Robinson has co hosted The Gemini Awards, as well being twice nominated for his groundbreaking CBC television special Thick and Thin. He is also the creator, writer and host of the Comedy Networks edgy show "After Hours," and for 2 years was the co-host of FLOW 93.5 "Morning Rush" radio show.

Parker’s Comedy & Jive is situated near the cinemas at Montecasino at Shop 24, next to the Boogaloos Skate Park and across from Sweets from Heaven.
