Midrand Urban Market Kicks off 2010 with a goal!

The Midrand Urban Market will celebrate it’ second birthday this year with a unique gift to its traders. As of the first market on March 6 traders will no longer have to pay to trade. Not only is there no fee increase but fees are completely waived, indefinitely.

This seemingly odd decision was made to enable the market to profit the traders’ businesses in a tangible way and build on established partnerships. As part of a greater community of people, the Urban Market exists for the benefit of the community and not for profit. All products will still have to be approved though to maintain high standards set.

The game plan for 2010 is also to improve on the visitor and trader experience so the physical layout of the market will be revamped. Visitors will be able to better orient themselves on arrival and will find areas especially created for rest and relaxation.

Traders will see better traffic past their stands to increase income opportunities.
The Midrand Urban Market aims to be the place where families can meet and as such they encourage residents to have a day out on them. Visitors are even welcome to host birthday parties or baby showers on market day using their facilities.

Midrand Urban Market will be open in 2010 on March 6 from 9am to 2pm. They invite any potential traders to contact them to have their product approved. If you would like more information visit their website at www.urbanmarket.co.za or phone 082-810-8643.
