SAINT’s Book Sale

SAINTs (Supporting Animals in Needy Times) will host a book sale at Northriding Square Bellairs Drive, Northriding on May 1 from 9am to 2pm.

SAINTs has just had two more very successful Book Sales for WAS and Co-Sanc, here’s some more good news, April 24 and May 1, we are doing it all over again for Border Collie Rescue, Husky Rescue South Africa and Fourpaws.

So if you could tell 5 friends to tell 5 friends and so on we can all help lots of homeless dogs!

Funds are required to pay large vet and kennelling bills as well as to provide food for fabulous foster homes, Four Paws, Border Collie Rescue and Husky Rescue have been inundated with dogs needing new homes through no fault of their own, they sterilise, vaccinate, micro chip and de-worm every animal before they are re-homed.

Sadly many need extra veterinary and behavioural care after being neglected. Donations of food and water bowls, toys, collars and leashes and dog and puppy food would be most welcome.

If you would be so kind as to clear out your Book Shelves and pass this message on to all your contacts, friends, family, book club members and everyone else.
We really do rely on you to help us spread the word and get more people attending, thank you.

This Book Sale is not your average “nobody wants them, books” the books that our wonderful supporters donate are great quality and condition books, the type you will find in good secondhand stores and we get brand new books donated too!

If you could bring your donations directly to the sale we would really appreciate it, if you can’t make it on the day please contact SAINTs@mweb.co.za stating where you live and work and we will liaise with a volunteer in your area to arrange a drop-off.

Recent Fiction, all Nonfiction, Childrens Books, Cook Books
We currently appeal for your better Crime and Thrillers, like (Deaver, Baldacci, La Plante, Reichs, Patterson, Isles, Brown (both San and Dan), Larsson, Grisham, Patterson’s, Child, PD James, Cussler, etc. Anyone got Shantaram to donate? Mills & Boons and Vampire Romance also go down well!

Unfortunately magazines (of any type) school books, computer manuals, text & study books don’t sell and neither does the older fiction, these can rather be donated to a needy school, old age home or other such institution, thanks for your understanding.

We will again be a drop off point for blankets for the annual Winter Blanket Drive at these two sales – www.blanketdrive.co.za (please have a look at their website for other ways to help if you don’t want to bring blankets, there are downloads and info on donating cash towards their bulk purchases of blankets for the shelter animals)
